\n The Organizing Committee of the 20th IEEE International Symposium on Embedded Multicore\/Many-core Systems-on-Chip (MCSoC 2027) invites proposals for Special Sessions to be held during the symposium at UEC, Tokyo, Japan, May 12\u201315, 2027. Special Sessions aim to enrich the technical program by spotlighting emerging research directions, disruptive technologies, and innovative applications in the broad domains of embedded system design, multicore and many\u2011core architectures, embodied AI platforms, neuromorphic and brain\u2011inspired computing systems, and integrated circuit design for emerging and next\u2011generation applications.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Proposals should focus on timely, high-impact topics that advance the state of the art and stimulate deeper interaction among researchers, practitioners, and industry partners. Sessions that strengthen academic\u2013industrial collaboration, promote cross-disciplinary innovation, or highlight regional and global research initiatives are especially welcome.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Special Session proposals in all areas relevant to MCSoC \u2014 including architecture, design methodologies, compilers, runtime systems, AI\/ML hardware, embedded systems, reconfigurable computing, and emerging application domains \u2014 are encouraged. Inter\u2011society proposals jointly organized with other IEEE Societies (beyond the Computer Society and TCMM) are particularly encouraged, as they broaden the symposium’s reach and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Proposal Requirements\n <\/h3>\n

A proposal should include the following information (3 pages max.):<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Title and abstract:<\/strong> A title and a concise abstract that conveys the session’s topic and scope.<\/li>\n
  2. Rationale:<\/strong> Explain why the topic is novel and timely, and describe its relevance to the MCSoC community.<\/li>\n
  3. Proposed speakers:<\/strong> Provide a list of all talks, speakers, and co-authors (in each associated paper). Sessions are normally expected to have around 5 papers. In exceptional cases (e.g., invited industrial speakers), you may propose a session with fewer papers.<\/li>\n
  4. Short biographies:<\/strong> Provide a short bio-sketch of the session proposer(s).<\/li>\n <\/ol>\n\n

    \n A special session can vary from a quarter to a half day and should consist of at least four papers. All accepted papers will be included in the 20th IEEE MCSoC 2027 proceedings, published by the IEEE Computer Society Press (CSP). Papers will be peer-reviewed in the same manner as regular session papers.\n <\/p>\n\n
