With the increase in transistors integrated on a single chip, functionalities such as memories, CPU, and DSP can be integrated into a single silicon chip to realize a multicore system on chip (MCSoC). To support real-time applications which require the processing of streaming data, like in the area of signal processing, MCSoCs have to be designed to meet the requirements of such applications. The topics of interest of the track include, but are not limited to:
- Real-time system design
- RTOSs
- Compilation techniques
- Memory/cache optimization
- Interfacing and software issues
- Distributed real-time systems
- Real-time kernels
- Task scheduling
- Multitasking design.
