MCSoC 2027 Awards for Research Excellence
The 20th IEEE MCSoC 2027 will recognize outstanding research contributions through a set of prestigious awards. A total of two Best Paper Awards and two Best Paper Runner-up Awards will be presented to honor excellence, innovation, and impactful scientific contributions. In addition, a Most Viewed Presentation Award will recognize the presentation from a previous MCSoC edition (2026 and earlier) whose video has reached the widest audience on the MCSoC Forum YouTube Channel.
Motivation for the Awards
As a flagship Computer event, the MCSoC Forum is committed to fostering global collaboration and advancing research in microelectronics, embedded multicore/many-core SoCs, and embedded AI. These awards celebrate authors whose work demonstrates originality, clarity, and technical impact.
Award Selection Criteria
- Best Paper Awards: Selected by the Best Paper Committee based on originality, relevance, technical soundness, writing quality, and presentation effectiveness.
- Most Viewed Presentation Award: Given at each MCSoC edition to the paper presentation from a previous edition whose video has the highest number of views on the MCSoC Forum YouTube Channel on the cutoff date announced by the Award Committee. For MCSoC 2027, presentations from MCSoC 2026 and earlier are eligible. Keynotes, invited talks and opening sessions are not eligible, and each presentation can win only once. Views from paid promotion or automated traffic lead to disqualification, and the Award Committee’s decision is final.
Presentation Videos
Authors who upload their presentation video to EDAS and agree to have it published on the MCSoC Forum YouTube Channel become eligible for the Most Viewed Presentation Award at future MCSoC editions.
Award Package
Each recipient of a Best Paper Award will receive a certificate and a cash prize of ¥10,000. Onsite participants will receive a hard copy certificate and cash award; online participants will receive a digital certificate only.
Most Viewed Presentation Award: The winner will be notified by email after the cutoff date. If the presenter or a co-author attends MCSoC 2027 onsite, the award will be presented at the conference with a certificate and a cash prize of ¥10,000. Otherwise, the winner will receive a digital certificate only. In both cases, the winner will be announced on the MCSoC website.
