CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
The IEEE MCSoC Forum is a premier global flagship event sponsored by IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society (TCMM), and the world’s leading forum for researchers working on embedded multicore and many‑core systems‑on‑chip.
The 20th IEEE MCSoC 2027 will be held at The University of Electro‑Communications, Tokyo, Japan, from May 12 to 15, 2027, and will feature a technical program including regular papers, short papers, special sessions, and tutorials, along with keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations, and the MCSoC Global Summits.
SCOPE OF CONTRIBUTIONS
Submissions are invited in all areas of embedded multicore/many‑core systems‑on‑chip, including but not limited to:
- Programming Techniques for Embedded Multicore/Manycore SoCs
Focus: Parallel programming models, compiler support, and software optimization. - Architectural Innovations in Embedded Multicore/Manycore SoCs
Focus: Novel core designs, memory hierarchies, and scalable architectures. - Design Methodologies for Embedded Multicore/Manycore SoCs

Focus: Embodied AI, Distributed Autonomy, and Intelligent Physical Systems.
TYPES OF CONTRIBUTIONS
- Regular Papers — original research contributions (up to 8 pages).
- Short Papers — concise contributions reporting early-stage or focused results (strictly limited to 4 pages).
- Presentation‑Only Contributions — work reviewed for relevance and quality, presented at the event, but not included in the proceedings.
- Special Sessions — proposals on emerging or interdisciplinary topics that complement the regular technical program.
- Tutorials — short courses covering emerging trends or established techniques of practical and industrial relevance.
PUBLICATION
Accepted papers will be included in the MCSoC 2027 Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore. Selected papers may be invited for extended versions in affiliated journal special issues.
CALL FOR PAPERS
The IEEE MCSoC Forum is the world’s premier forum for researchers in the active fields of embedded multicore and many‑core systems‑on‑chip design. MCSoC 2027 will be held at The University of Electro‑Communications, Tokyo, Japan, from May 12 to 15, 2027, and will include technical oral and poster sessions, special sessions, tutorials, and the MCSoC Global Summits, covering the topics listed above.
All papers must follow the official double‑column IEEE conference format and be submitted in PDF only. Regular papers may include up to 8 pages, with an additional charge of 50 USD per extra page (maximum of 2 extra pages). Short papers are strictly limited to 4 pages, and no extra pages are permitted. Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure that their manuscripts are properly formatted, clearly written, and free of typographical or grammatical errors before submission.
Presentation‑Only submissions are reviewed for relevance and quality but are not included in the proceedings and do not produce an archival publication. Accepted presentation‑only work will appear in the conference program and program booklet and will receive a presentation slot during the event.
All submissions will undergo a single‑blind peer‑review process conducted by at least three qualified reviewers, evaluated on technical quality, originality, significance of the contribution, clarity of presentation, and overall organization. Papers that do not meet the formatting requirements or fall short of expected academic standards may be rejected without full review.

CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS
The Organizing Committee of MCSoC 2027 invites proposals for Special Sessions to be held during the conference at UEC, Tokyo, Japan, May 12–15, 2027.
Special sessions complement the regular technical program by highlighting emerging, interdisciplinary, or high‑impact topics within embedded multicore/many‑core systems‑on‑chip, embedded AI, and neuromorphic and embodied computing. Proposals outside these themes that address challenging open problems or novel applications are also encouraged. All papers within an accepted special session undergo the same peer‑review process as regular submissions.
Proposal should include the following information (3 pages max.):
- Title and abstract: A title and a concise abstract that conveys the session’s topic and scope.
- Rationale: Explain why the topic is novel and timely, and describe its relevance to the MCSoC community.
- Proposed speakers: Provide a list of all talks, speakers, and co-authors (in each associated paper). Sessions are normally expected to have around 5 papers. In exceptional cases (e.g., invited industrial speakers), you may propose a session with fewer papers.
- Short biographies: Provide a short bio-sketch of the session proposer(s).

CALL FOR TUTORIALS
The IEEE MCSoC Forum is the world’s premier forum for researchers in embedded multicore and many‑core systems‑on‑chip design. MCSoC 2027 will be held at The University of Electro‑Communications, Tokyo, Japan, from May 12 to 15, 2027.
Participation in tutorials is an excellent opportunity for lifelong learning, and MCSoC 2027 is committed to supporting professional development. Suitable tutorial topics range from emerging research areas to established techniques of practical and industrial relevance within the scope of the MCSoC Forum.
TUTORIAL PROPOSAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The proposal should provide sufficient information for the Tutorial Chairs to evaluate the relevance, quality, and expected impact of the tutorial.
Required information:
- Tutorial Title and Abstract — a concise title and an abstract that clearly describes the tutorial topic, scope, and objectives.
- Motivation and Expected Impact — why the topic is important to the MCSoC community and timely for attendees, and the expected benefits and learning outcomes for participants.
- Tutorial Outline — a syllabus or outline of the tutorial, including main topics and approximate time allocation.
- Speakers — all speakers and their affiliations; for multiple speakers, clearly indicate each speaker’s role and section.
- Short Biography — a short professional biography for the main speaker (and optionally additional speakers), highlighting expertise and relevant track record.

The conference proceedings, including all technical tracks, special tracks, special sessions, and workshop papers, will be published by IEEE Conference Proceedings. These will be included in the Computer Society Digital Library (CSDL) and IEEE Xplore, subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements.
